BRAR is completing the installation of high current connections to anode and cathode for N°6 graphitizing furnaces (current 110kA-DC) for IMERYS Graphite & Carbon.
The supply includes the design, manufacturing, expediting and assembly on site of the following:
> Connections with pipes made of heavy gauge aluminum, water-cooled, isolated and with resin protection to be positioned inside of tunnels under-ground.
The tubes have welded flanges to allow the assembly on site of the "bridge" connecting to the cathode. The connection to anode and cathode is made of flexible laminated aluminum.
The main target of the Customer was to make the installation in a very short time, so BRAR has designed and manufactured 25m long aluminum pipes in one piece, ready for assembly with a special handling tool.
