BRAR recently designed and manufactured a new set of power conducting arms for Thyssen Krupp Acciai Speciali Terni with cooled profile, where the cooling water flows inside the profile and not inside the arm. The profile has a "L" section with cooling holes and it is made of drawn aluminium. In this way the arm is cooled only where necessary, in other words in the profile carrying the electric current, with a drastic reduction in the amount of water required.
